Learning Assessment & Neurocare Centre

The Learning Assessment & Neurocare Centre (LANC) is an independent, multi-disciplinary clinic in Horsham, West Sussex with a satellite clinic in Stratford-on-Avon.  It specialises in the management of children, adolescents and adults with complex neurodevelopmental difficulties, especially AD/HD and related conditions including Asperger's Syndrome, specific learning difficulties, dyslexia, Tourette Syndrome and emotional and behavioural problems.  As many of these conditions interact and overlap, there is a great deal of emphasis placed on careful evaluation and subsequent liaison with schools and other involved organisations.
 
A GP referral is required and people can be seen either privately or on the NHS from across the UK and also from overseas.
 
Clinic staff include consultant paediatricians, clinical and educational psychologists, a practice nurse and AD/HD coach, and an occupational therapist.  There is also a school liaison service.  Staff lecture nationally and internationally on the conditions to a wide range of professional and other audiences in health, education and social care.
 
The Centre also arranges in-service training to professionals in health, education and social care, lectures and seminars and a limited amount of medico-legal work can be undertaken.
